With the launch date for Darkfall: Rise of Agon quickly approaching this Friday, the team has been working to get everything situated for the big day. We have a couple of updates for you to start the week off with and will be releasing a few more leading up to launch.
Server Stress Test
Our development team is finalizing the server configuration of our new hardware which should be ready sometime tomorrow. In preparation for launch day, we will be holding a server stress test from 2:00-9:00 p.m. EST this Wednesday, May 3rd.
During this time any account will be able to patch and sign into the game, allowing us to see how the new server handles an influx of players at one time. This will give us an opportunity to test the new hardware configuration and make sure our various systems can handle the demand at launch.
As a note: Mob AI will not be active during this test and the final patch will not be implemented.
Referral Program
In the coming days we will be activating our Referral Program for all accounts that are active with subscription time. The following outlines how this system will work and how you can both help grow our community and be rewarded for doing so:
Referral Links:
Players with an active account will be able to go into their Account page and retrieve a unique referral link. This link can be shared on social media, within forums, via streams on Twitch, or in videos on YouTube and is tied to the person's account it originated from.
Whenever someone clicks on one of these links, they will be directed to a page to create an account on our website. This individual will become a referral as soon as they create an account, tied to the person's account whose link they originally clicked on. This occurs even if that person first leaves the account page to browse other sections of our website.
Referral Reward:
Whenever an account created from a referral link purchases Nithron coins or subscription time, the total amount is kept track throughout the month. At the end of each month, 10% of the total purchase amount from all of an individual's referrals is paid back to that account in Nithron coins.
As an example, if someone has two people make an account from their referral link, and each of those accounts spends $25 in a month, the individual with the referral link would get $5.00 worth of Nithron coins, or 50 Nithron coins, as their payout.
Another example would be five accounts made from a referral link, each purchasing a monthly subscription. This means that each month the person who owns the referral link would be getting the same 50 Nithron coins every month for as long as the five referrals stayed active.
Accounts created from referral links stay tied to the account of the person doing the referring indefinitely. This means whenever a referral account makes a purchase, no matter how long it occurs after they first made their account, it adds to the total purchase amount calculated for the person who owns the referral link. The more referrals tied to a person's account, the more payback in Nithron coins, with no time limit or expiration date on the referral.
New Ork Racial Music
Our composer George has been working on a few new songs for the six distinct races of Agon, and today we wanted to present the racial track for the Orks. We hope you enjoy!
