End of Early Access, Updated Website Launch and Twitch Q&A

by

Hi everyone,

There are a few announcements that we have for all of you in our community in today's update. The official launch of Darkfall: Rise of Agon is less than a month away, and the team is working through all the projects and tasks that need to be accomplished before we can kick off the launch of the game. We would like to take a moment to thank those of you who participated in this week's marketing event as well as all of you who continue to provide us support through community promotion, videos and outreach programs. In an upcoming announcement we will outline how all of you in the community can help us achieve a successful launch, and by all working together we will create an exciting start of this new chapter in the Darkfall franchise.

With that said, let's go over today's updates!

End of Early Access

The Early Access servers will be shutting down after server maintenance on Monday, April 24th. This means that no one will be able to access the game servers after this time until we officially launch on May 5th. We will be using this downtime to deploy our final patch, tidy up any last minute tasks that we need to finalize, and get the servers situated for go-live.

We will be hosting a final event to end Early Access and will announce more details on this as we get closer to server shut down.

Updated Website Launch

We are planning to launch our updated website, including the subscription and Nithron Coin packages that will be available for launch, on April 14th. There will be a limited time "Early Bird Special" during the 3 weeks leading up to launch on all packages included in our updated store, so make sure to check out what is available to take advantage of these one-time deals!

Live Twitch Q&A

The team will be hosting a live Twitch Q&A event where we will be answering questions that are asked in the chat channel. No question is off limits as long as it does not involve anything we cannot answer due to the NDA with our licensor or involving sensitive company information.

In order to allow both our North American and European players to attend, we will be hosting this event on Saturday, April 15th at 2 p.m. EST. We will provide more details on where to go to join this event as well as the specific format in the coming days.

It is important to note that we will not tolerate any abusive language or comments during the stream, and if we see people engaging in that activity they will be first temporarily banned from chat and will be permanently banned for any subsequent offences. This also means being permanently banned from being able to engage in any future events on Twitch as well.

Community Code of Conduct

As we have mentioned in the past, we will be releasing our community "Code of Conduct" in the coming weeks which will outline the guidelines and expectations we have of our community members for launch. The team at Big Picture Games aims to provide the best gaming experience we can to our players, and part of that includes ensuring that all players feel welcomed and are not subjected to unacceptable behavior by certain players. Stay tuned for the official update on these new guidelines and what kind of penalties people can expect for breaking them.

Thank you for reading today's update and we will be in touch soon!

Join us in the discussion.

Sincerely,

- The Team at Big Picture Games
