Alpha Update - April 11th, 2016

This past Friday we launched the start of our Alpha development phase for Darkfall: Rise of Agon. We would sincerely like to thank all of you who supported us by purchasing a Founder Pack and for those of you who stood by us while we worked through some of the initial problems. It has been quite obvious to us how excited you guys were to get in game and we will work as hard as we can to make sure you all can have some fun while we test.

 

Founder Pack Alpha Access

 

All users who purchased a Founder Pack over the weekend, as well as those who purchase a Founder Pack throughout the rest of Alpha, will be granted immediate access to our Alpha. This should automatically occur for those who have purchased a Founder Pack, but if anyone is unable to sign into Alpha after purchasing, please submit a support ticket for assistance.

 

Alpha Status Update

 

Due to the immediate demand we had after our Alpha launch announcement, we encountered some early issues. There were problems with our login client as well as some user account issues with our new website, but our development team pushed hard through the weekend to get the majority of issues resolved. The servers have been up and running for much of the past 24 hours, and it seems that the initial issues we were dealing with have since been addressed.

After analyzing the data that we gathered during the first few days, we now move to continue adding new server hardware. This will allow us to expand the amount of concurrent users that we can handle online at a time, as well as better support some systems such as mob spawns and the patch server. As we continue to expand our hardware capabilities, we will send out Alpha keys to those who registered for access online.

One last thing to mention is that Alpha is scheduled to last for roughly 8 weeks, and throughout this time we will be reaching out to the community to help stress test specific aspects of the servers and client. We want to thank again all of you who have provided critical feedback during these first few days as it has helped us tremendously.

 

Community Competition Update

 

The deadline to submit your community competition entry expired at 5 P.M. EST this evening. We will be reviewing all of the entries that we received during the past few weeks and will announce our winners during this Friday's update. Thank you to everyone who submitted a competition entry, it is obvious you all put in a lot of time and effort and we look forward to presenting off your work to the community!
